When you browse the site
Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information and request details, where needed to deliver and protect the website.
When you open a retailer offer
Discount Atlas records limited server-side click information so we can understand which offers are used and operate affiliate links. Our current click records include the offer/link identifiers, time of the click, referring page and host, browser user-agent and the outbound route used. Our click-events database does not currently store visitors' IP addresses.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, which may include your name, email address and message.
Why we use this information
We rely on legitimate interests where appropriate to operate and secure the website, understand outbound offer usage, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and reconcile affiliate activity. Those interests are balanced against the privacy impact of the limited information involved.
Where you contact us, we use the information to respond to your enquiry and maintain relevant business records. We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

Who we may share information with
We use service providers to run Discount Atlas, including Vercel for website hosting and delivery and Neon for database infrastructure. We may also work with affiliate networks such as AWIN and with participating retailers where needed to operate affiliate links and reconcile activity.
When you follow a retailer or affiliate link, you leave Discount Atlas and the destination may process information under its own privacy and cookie policies. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or to professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant provider or arrangement should use an applicable adequacy regulation or another appropriate lawful safeguard.
How long we keep information
We keep technical and click records only for as long as reasonably needed for site operation, reporting, security, affiliate reconciliation and dispute handling, and we review whether older records are still needed. Contact messages are retained for as long as necessary to respond and maintain relevant business records.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and in some cases to receive your data in a portable format.

Children
Discount Atlas is a general-audience shopping and deals service. We do not knowingly ask children to create public accounts or submit personal information through the public site.
